A Simple, Effective and Free Pop-Up Ad Blocker
Fed up with being bombarded with those annoying
pop-up ads while you’re trying to use your Internet browser? Navigate back and
forth through the Pensacola News Journal site a little and you’ll see what I
mean.
Until Microsoft incorporates one into Internet
Explorer, or into the Windows operating system itself, this is a pretty good
little program to use.
It stays
resident in the system tray (that little collection of icons on the lower right
of the Windows desktop). It does its job, is configurable, and unlike a lot of
other free software, it doesn’t constantly bug you to buy the “professional”
version. Pop-Up Stopper Free supports both Internet
Explorer and Netscape.
“Pop-up ad” blockers are becoming more and more
available, and you may already have one installed, but if not, here’s a quick
link to a good one that I think you’ll like.
When you arrive at PanicWare’s products download
page, scroll down a little until you see the "Free Award Winning Pop-Up
Stopper",
and download/install it.
Feel free to contact me with any questions about what
this does or concerning downloading / installing it.
